Check Out These Vintage Finds in the Wilmington Area

If you are looking to score vintage pieces in Wilmington, you do not want to miss these local businesses.

So far, there are no signs of the vintage decor craze letting up, and you know what? We’re relishing this moment, because as far as we are concerned, vintage pieces and inspired designs are more than trends. We believe this style is timeless. The simple and understated Mid-Century accent chairs are easy to implement in a space, without having to convert an entire home to a new decor concept. 1950s record tables, dining buffet tables, and even nightstands can be used in all sorts of ways. Some like to paint these pieces, others refinish them, but no matter what, they are stunning and add a lot of character to a space.

Let’s talk about some of the places around our community where you can score big when it comes to vintage.

Here are a few of our favorite places:

Decades of Decor

We found out about Decades of Decor through the Facebook group Wilmington Hidden Gems. Someone suggested this furniture shop had plenty of statement pieces in its downtown location. Check out their Facebook page for more information, as shopping is appointment-only.

Habitat for Humanity Restore

You can find just about any furniture you need at Habitat Restore. We look here for vintage end tables, hutches, secretaries, and desks, and even amazing chairs that could be reupholstered and flipped. With multiple locations in and around Wilmington to check out, you’ll have plenty of options, and you never know what you will find!

This shop on Castle Street has a very impressive menagerie of vintage clothing, but look around, and you can find a few decor pieces as well.

Recollections Vintage Village (The Village)

For a unique resale experience, check out The Village! Here you can find a variety of styles and pieces for your home. They also host events, so keep your eyes peeled for upcoming dates and details.

The Ivy Cottage

Visit The Ivy Cottage for vintage furniture, antiques, and other collectibles! We love that they are a locally-owned shop offering quality consignments.

If we didn’t live here, we would probably come and visit the beach along with a giant trailer to bring furniture home with us! Check out our guide to Wilmington’s flea markets here, and some great other furniture shops here.
