Mark your calendars because the Cargo District Summer Fest is almost here! Visit this unique district in downtown Wilmington on July 6th from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM for a day of summer fun. From 15th St to Wrightsville Ave, shop local businesses and vendors, jam to live music, grab some tasty bites, watch outdoor movies, and more.
About Cargo District Summer Fest
The Cargo District Summer Fest is free to attend and great for all ages. This event celebrates community, small businesses, and summer fun. Expect a variety of food and beverage specials, deals from local shops, crafts, and all kinds of activities, such as walk-in flash tattoos, an Inflatable Party at The Rift Bar Yard, outdoor movies, and so much more!
The district’s newest food court, Cargo West, will have live music playing, and kiddos can play at the Kid’s Corner and dunk tank. It’s a day full of happenings and special fun here in Downtown Wilmington, sponsored by the Downtown Wilmington Business Alliance. Keep reading to learn more.

Family-Friendly Fun
The Kid’s Corner is the perfect place for your children to play all day, and will feature a dunk tank! Check out Becky’s Face Painting or get some fairy hair locks at Beauty Box. It’s fun for the whole family, with plenty to do and see, no matter your age.
About The Cargo District
The Cargo District is Wilmington’s downtown district, composed of repurposed shipping containers (yes, you read that right). The process is called cargotecture, and results in efficient, sustainable buildings for residents, businesses, and industry.
